The aim of this trip is to strengthen the strategic collaboration between the two regions in the Rhine corridor. This corridor represents an important logistical connection linking the Netherlands with Switzerland, southern Germany, and France. As part of the visit, a memorandum of understanding will be signed between the Port of Rotterdam and the Port of Switzerland to intensify cooperation in the coming years.<\/p>\n<h3>Rhine Corridor as the Key to Logistics<\/h3>\n<p>The Rhine corridor plays a central role in the logistical processes of both countries. For companies in container inland shipping, rail transport, and the supply chain industry, this connection is of strategic importance. The promotional trip allows Rotterdam companies to make direct contact with shippers, freight forwarders, terminals, and transport companies in the Basel region as well as in southern Germany.<\/p>\n<h3>Diverse Opportunities for Knowledge Exchange<\/h3>\n<p>The program of the promotional trip includes a plenary session, presentations by the participating companies, and a marketplace for company profiles. Additionally, a targeted Match &amp; Meet program with Swiss companies will be offered. These formats provide participants with the opportunity to expand their network, explore new markets, and work on optimizing logistical connections in the Rhine corridor.<\/p>\n<p>Hedi Visscher, Director of the Rotterdam Port Promotion Council, commented on the expectations for the trip: \u201cThere is great interest in our member network, and we see this on the Swiss side as well. It is therefore very valuable to provide a preview of this trip now, where we will jointly strengthen this vital lifeline for logistics, energy, and industry.
