The association Swiss Supply, founded on March 26, 2021, will be dissolved on April 30, 2026, almost exactly five years later. The institution, launched as an umbrella organization for logistics associations, was initiated by Andreas K\u00f6nig, but after his resignation two years ago, activities more or less came to a halt. Since the affiliated associations are doing much for the industry and especially for promoting young talent, the loss of this association will be bearable. The initiative „Movement32,“ launched by Swiss Supply, was quietly buried at the end of last year, leading to the decision to dissolve Swiss Supply:<\/p>\n
Here is the official wording of the announcement:<\/p>\n
\nWe are reaching out to you today to inform you about important developments regarding Swiss Supply and the initiative Movement\u201932.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n
Swiss Supply was founded with the aim of promoting the reputation of logistics, supply chain, transport, procurement, and recycling in Switzerland, as well as educating the public about the central importance of the entire value chain. At the same time, the contribution of these sectors to the economy and society, as well as the diversity of professions and career opportunities, was to be made visible.<\/i><\/p>\n
A central project to achieve these goals was the initiative Movement\u201932. Despite intensive efforts, Swiss Supply unfortunately was unable to secure the necessary financial resources for the launch. Although feedback from the roundtables was very positive, subsequent discussions with potential partners revealed an unexpectedly low willingness to provide financial support. Several companies that initially supported the project ultimately decided against participation. Therefore, the desired goal could not be achieved with the commitments received.<\/i><\/p>\n
Consequently, the board of Swiss Supply decided at its meeting on February 23, 2026, to dissolve the association, as the defined goals could not be achieved in their current form, and thus no sustainable added value remains.<\/i><\/p>\n
The associations will continue to actively develop the central themes, particularly the promotion of young talent and the strengthening of the industry\u2019s image, in their existing and future frameworks. The original idea of consolidating the entire supply chain in a joint initiative has proven to be too complex. Accordingly, the associations will refocus their activities in a targeted and individual manner.<\/i><\/p>\n
