MBS Logistics AG, the Swiss subsidiary of the international MBS Logistics Group headquartered in Cologne, has announced today the acquisition of Gerhard Wegm\u00fcller GmbH based in Zurich. The acquisition agreement is retroactive to January 1, 2025. <\/strong>This strategic acquisition expands MBS Logistics AG’s service portfolio in Switzerland and internationally.<\/h5>\n

(Zurich) Gerhard Wegm\u00fcller GmbH is an established company focusing on specialized logistics solutions in the fields of aviation & aerospace, pharmaceuticals, medical technology, and complex special transports. A particular focus is on time-critical spare parts logistics for aircraft (Aircraft on Ground \/ AOG) as well as 24\/7 emergency logistics.<\/p>\n

With the integration of Gerhard Wegm\u00fcller GmbH into the international network of MBS Logistics Group, customers will benefit from an expanded service offering that combines specialized logistics solutions with global reach. Already today, the MBS Group is active in the field of emergency logistics under the brand Anytime at locations including Frankfurt, Hamburg, Cologne, Hong Kong, and Singapore. By combining the strengths of both companies and leveraging the international network, synergies are created that not only enhance the level of service but also further improve responsiveness in global markets\u2014even for demanding and time-critical transport requirements.<\/p>\n

Gerhard Wegm\u00fcller GmbH will continue to operate as an independent company under its established name. Maria Wegm\u00fcller, a shareholder and managing director since 2023, will remain in her role as managing director long-term and will work closely with Fabian Heil, managing director of MBS Logistics AG Switzerland. Both companies are committed to continuity for customers and employees and aim to further develop their existing expertise together.<\/p>\n

With this acquisition, MBS Logistics Group is consistently pursuing its strategy of targeted expansion and strengthening specialized business areas, building on the Zurich location established in June 2023. Joerg Roehl, CEO of MBS Logistics Group and chairman of the board of MBS Logistics AG, states: \u201cWith the acquisition of Gerhard Wegm\u00fcller GmbH, we are expanding our presence in Switzerland and our offering of specialized logistics solutions.
