There will also be no sales of the Xcient Fuel Cell truck in the country, Hyundai Switzerland CEO Beat Hirschi reportedly confirmed to the trade magazine &#8220;trans aktuell.&#8221; How the false report originated is unclear.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<h6><strong>The parties involved in the Hydrogen Project Switzerland, the H2 Mobility Switzerland Association and Hyundai Hydrogen Mobility AG, confirm today in a joint statement that it was a false report:<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p><strong>The statement in full:<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<blockquote>\n<h6 class=\"blog-single-title entry-title h2\"><strong>Correction: Still green H\u2082 trucks<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p><span class=\"posted-on\"><span class=\"block text-uppercase ltr-sp-1\">Published on:<\/span>21\/10\/2022<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As incorrectly communicated in some media, neither Hyundai nor the other partners of the hydrogen ecosystem in Switzerland intend to stop the existing initiative.<\/p>\n<p>The privately funded and non-subsidized initiative has been successfully in operation for two years. Meanwhile, the hydrogen trucks in customer use have covered over 5 million kilometers.<\/p>\n<p>The unpredictable disruptions in the energy market are affecting the availability of electricity from sustainable energy sources and thus also the production costs of green hydrogen in the short and medium term. Nevertheless, all players in the Swiss hydrogen ecosystem remain committed to their goals, are pushing for further expansion, and are developing solutions to adapt the overall system to the new situation.<\/p>\n<p>For the stakeholders, this means specifically:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The hydrogen production capacities will continue to be expanded. A new production facility will commence operations in Eastern Switzerland before the end of the year.<\/li>\n<li>Currently, eleven publicly accessible refueling stations in Switzerland offer hydrogen, with three more locations nearing commissioning.<\/li>\n<li>Hyundai remains committed to the rollout in Switzerland and continues to offer hydrogen trucks to its customers.
