Esta es la conclusi\u00f3n del \u00faltimo informe del proyecto \u00abMonitoreo del Eje Gotardo\u00bb (MGA) de la Oficina Federal de Desarrollo Territorial (ARE). Las estaciones en el eje est\u00e1n m\u00e1s ocupadas gracias a las inversiones, y la demanda de viajes en tren ha aumentado.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>2016 se inaugur\u00f3 el t\u00fanel base de Gotardo (GBT), y cinco a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s sigui\u00f3 el t\u00fanel base de Ceneri. El \u00faltimo informe del proyecto MGA muestra c\u00f3mo estas infraestructuras han cambiado el tr\u00e1fico y el desarrollo del espacio. En el per\u00edodo anterior a la pandemia (2016 a 2019), el n\u00famero de viajeros en tren aument\u00f3 en un 28 por ciento. El n\u00famero de viajeros en carretera (t\u00fanel y carretera de paso) disminuy\u00f3 en un 2 por ciento durante este per\u00edodo.<\/p>\n<p>Despu\u00e9s de la pandemia, en 2022, el tr\u00e1fico de pasajeros en el Gotardo aument\u00f3 significativamente en tren, con 4000 viajeros adicionales por d\u00eda en comparaci\u00f3n con 2016. Esto representa un aumento del 48 por ciento. En la carretera, hubo 2000 viajeros m\u00e1s por d\u00eda en comparaci\u00f3n con 2016 (+ 8 por ciento). El aumento se debe principalmente al tr\u00e1fico tur\u00edstico. Esto tuvo un impacto en las pernoctaciones en Ticino. Mientras que este n\u00famero disminuy\u00f3 en un 7,4 por ciento entre 2011 y 2015, aument\u00f3 en un 3,4 por ciento entre 2016 y 2019.<\/p>\n<p>En el transporte de mercanc\u00edas, se est\u00e1 produciendo un cambio notable de la carretera al ferrocarril. Por primera vez, adem\u00e1s del tr\u00e1fico de tr\u00e1nsito, tambi\u00e9n se observa un crecimiento significativo en el transporte ferroviario de mercanc\u00edas regional entre Ticino y Suiza alemana. Desde 2016, el volumen de contenedores manipulados en terminales de Ticino ha aumentado en aproximadamente un 38 por ciento.<\/p>\n<h5>Desarrollo econ\u00f3mico y espacial acelerado<\/h5>\n<p>El nuevo eje ferroviario tambi\u00e9n ha acelerado el desarrollo econ\u00f3mico y espacial. En el cant\u00f3n de Ticino, se est\u00e1n fortaleciendo los centros urbanos. El crecimiento econ\u00f3mico y demogr\u00e1fico alrededor de las estaciones de la aglomeraci\u00f3n de Bellinzona es particularmente pronunciado. Estas \u00e1reas se han beneficiado m\u00e1s de la mejor accesibilidad gracias al t\u00fanel base de Ceneri.
