Con esto, se crean las condiciones estructurales en el lado suizo para poder operar trenes de mercanc\u00edas con semirremolques de 4 m de altura en el tr\u00e1fico regular tambi\u00e9n a trav\u00e9s de la l\u00ednea del lado izquierdo del Rin hacia Francia y m\u00e1s all\u00e1 hacia los t\u00faneles base NEAT en Gotthard y L\u00f6tschberg. Los trabajos principales comenzar\u00e1n en 2026 y se espera que finalicen a finales de 2029.<\/p>\n<h3>Transporte de mercanc\u00edas a trav\u00e9s de la gran ciudad<\/h3>\n<p>El objetivo del proyecto es hacer que el transporte ferroviario de mercanc\u00edas sea m\u00e1s competitivo y trasladar transportes adicionales que cruzan los Alpes de la carretera al ferrocarril. Los semirremolques de cuatro metros de altura se est\u00e1n imponiendo cada vez m\u00e1s en el transporte de mercanc\u00edas europeo, ya que ofrecen a los cargadores y empresas de transporte claras ventajas log\u00edsticas y econ\u00f3micas. Sin embargo, para poder transportar estas unidades por ferrocarril, se requiere un perfil de espacio m\u00e1s grande, que muchas de las l\u00edneas existentes no cumplen.<\/p>\n<p>El n\u00facleo de las medidas en Basilea son los hundimientos de v\u00edas en los t\u00faneles Kannenfeld y Sch\u00fctzenmatt, as\u00ed como debajo de los pasos elevados Allschwilerstrasse y Oberwilerstrasse. En los dos t\u00faneles, las v\u00edas se bajar\u00e1n aproximadamente medio metro y se ajustar\u00e1n las l\u00edneas de contacto. En el t\u00fanel Kannenfeld, adem\u00e1s, se prev\u00e9 un ensanchamiento de la b\u00f3veda del t\u00fanel en el lado del Rin para realizar una v\u00eda de escape. Bajo otros pasos elevados, como en Wanderstrasse y Marschalkenstrasse, son suficientes los ajustes en la l\u00ednea de contacto. Los hundimientos comienzan en tramos abiertos, de modo que las v\u00edas pueden ser conducidas en rampa hacia las estructuras. Al mismo tiempo, se deben ajustar numerosas cruces de servicios y arroyos bajo la traza ferroviaria.<\/p>\n<p>Paralelamente a la adaptaci\u00f3n del perfil, la SBB utiliza el per\u00edmetro del proyecto para llevar a cabo amplias medidas de mantenimiento. Entre el t\u00fanel Kannenfeld y los puentes Birsig, la superestructura de ambas v\u00edas ser\u00e1 completamente renovada. Adem\u00e1s, se llevar\u00e1n a cabo trabajos de mantenimiento en los dos puentes Birsig de v\u00eda \u00fanica. Se prev\u00e9n, entre otras cosas, la renovaci\u00f3n de la protecci\u00f3n contra la corrosi\u00f3n, un nuevo sellado de las losas de los puentes, as\u00ed como el reemplazo y refuerzo de los apoyos de los puentes. El objetivo es mantener las estructuras utilizables de manera segura y confiable durante al menos otros 50 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<h3>Trabajos en funcionamiento<\/h3>\n<p>Para minimizar el impacto en el tr\u00e1fico de pasajeros y mercanc\u00edas, la construcci\u00f3n se llevar\u00e1 a cabo con el funcionamiento en curso. En lugar de un cierre total durante varios a\u00f1os, solo se cerrar\u00e1 uno de los dos rieles durante un per\u00edodo prolongado. Adem\u00e1s, la SBB establecer\u00e1 desv\u00edos provisionales para reducir a la mitad la longitud de los tramos de v\u00eda \u00fanica y limitar las p\u00e9rdidas de capacidad. Sin embargo, durante el per\u00edodo de construcci\u00f3n se prev\u00e9n restricciones en el tr\u00e1fico ferroviario, as\u00ed como cierres totales en algunos fines de semana.<\/p>\n<p>Los costos de la adaptaci\u00f3n del perfil y la renovaci\u00f3n de las v\u00edas ascienden a aproximadamente 114 millones de CHF y se financiar\u00e1n a trav\u00e9s del cr\u00e9dito de compromiso del gobierno para los proyectos del corredor de 4 metros. Para la restauraci\u00f3n de los puentes Birsig se prev\u00e9n otros 7 millones de CHF, que se compensar\u00e1n a trav\u00e9s del acuerdo de rendimiento entre el gobierno y la SBB.<\/p>\n<p>Para que el transporte de mercanc\u00edas de 4 metros sea posible en operaci\u00f3n regular tambi\u00e9n a trav\u00e9s de Francia, se requieren adaptaciones complementarias del perfil en el lado franc\u00e9s. Una declaraci\u00f3n de intenci\u00f3n correspondiente fue firmada por el consejero federal Albert R\u00f6sti y el ministro de Transporte franc\u00e9s en febrero de 2025. El objetivo de ambos pa\u00edses es crear una ruta de acceso adicional y eficiente en el lado izquierdo del Rin hacia los ejes NEAT y, con ello, aumentar de manera sostenible la robustez del
