Avec 1,43 million de passagers par jour, ce chiffre d\u00e9passe les 1,39 million de l&#8217;ann\u00e9e 2024. Cette \u00e9volution dans le transport de passagers a conduit \u00e0 des revenus plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s. Cependant, les co\u00fbts d&#8217;exploitation et d&#8217;entretien ainsi que la consommation d&#8217;\u00e9nergie ont \u00e9galement augment\u00e9. En revanche, les revenus du transport de marchandises ont diminu\u00e9. Ce secteur reste, malgr\u00e9 sa transformation, un sujet de pr\u00e9occupation. SBB Immobilien a cependant pu r\u00e9aliser un r\u00e9sultat solide.<\/p>\n<h3>R\u00e9sultat annuel et effets exceptionnels<\/h3>\n<p>Le r\u00e9sultat annuel de la SBB s&#8217;\u00e9l\u00e8ve \u00e0 496 millions de francs, ce qui repr\u00e9sente une nette augmentation par rapport aux 275 millions de francs de l&#8217;ann\u00e9e pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente. Environ la moiti\u00e9 de ce montant est toutefois due \u00e0 des effets exceptionnels, principalement issus d&#8217;une r\u00e9duction de l&#8217;obligation de pr\u00e9voyance. Ces effets exceptionnels n&#8217;ont pas d&#8217;impact sur l&#8217;endettement, qui s&#8217;\u00e9l\u00e8ve actuellement \u00e0 11,3 milliards de francs, apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 de 12,1 milliards de francs l&#8217;ann\u00e9e pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente.<\/p>\n<h3>SBB Cargo reste un d\u00e9fi<\/h3>\n<p>La SBB fait face au d\u00e9fi de financer les investissements n\u00e9cessaires dans le mat\u00e9riel roulant et les installations \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques par ses propres moyens. Pour permettre ces investissements, un b\u00e9n\u00e9fice op\u00e9rationnel annuel d&#8217;environ 500 millions de francs est jug\u00e9 n\u00e9cessaire.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"298\" data-end=\"572\">Le transport de marchandises reste l&#8217;un des plus grands d\u00e9fis au sein du groupe SBB. Alors que le transport de passagers continue de b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier d&#8217;une augmentation du nombre de voyageurs, SBB Cargo est sous pression \u00e9conomique et traverse une phase de transformation profonde.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"621\" data-end=\"1054\">SBB Cargo est le principal fournisseur de transport de marchandises par rail en Suisse. Chaque jour, les trains de marchandises transportent environ 170 000 tonnes de biens \u00e0 travers la Suisse. Cela repr\u00e9sente environ un septi\u00e8me du transport national de marchandises et permet de r\u00e9duire le trafic routier de pr\u00e8s de 15 000 camions par jour. En m\u00eame temps, le transport ferroviaire permet une r\u00e9duction des \u00e9missions de CO\u2082 d&#8217;environ 80 % par rapport au transport routier.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1056\" data-end=\"1466\">L&#8217;entreprise dessert diff\u00e9rents segments de transport. Cela inclut des trains complets, le transport combin\u00e9 avec des conteneurs et des semi-remorques, ainsi que le transport de wagons isol\u00e9s (EWLV), o\u00f9 des wagons de marchandises individuels sont assembl\u00e9s en trains dans des gares de triage. Ce dernier est traditionnellement consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme particuli\u00e8rement important pour l&#8217;approvisionnement de l&#8217;industrie, mais c&#8217;est aussi le segment le plus \u00e9conomiquement difficile.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1499\" data-end=\"1716\">Dans le transport de wagons isol\u00e9s, SBB Cargo transporte chaque ann\u00e9e environ 11 millions de tonnes de marchandises avec plus d&#8217;une demi-million de wagons. Les clients proviennent de secteurs tels que la chimie, la construction, l&#8217;acier, l&#8217;alimentation ou le bois.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1718\" data-end=\"1927\">Cependant, la performance du transport est d\u00e9pendante de la conjoncture. Une demande industrielle plus faible ainsi que des changements structurels dans la logistique ont r\u00e9cemment conduit \u00e0 une baisse des volumes dans le transport int\u00e9rieur et de transit.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1929\" data-end=\"2224\">En plus du transport national, SBB Cargo, par l&#8217;interm\u00e9diaire de sa filiale <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">SBB Cargo International<\/span><\/span>, effectue \u00e9galement des transports de marchandises par rail \u00e0 l&#8217;international. Bien que ce secteur soit \u00e0 nouveau rentable, le transport int\u00e9rieur suisse reste le principal d\u00e9fi \u00e9conomique.<\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"16im8ij\" data-start=\"2226\" data-end=\"2254\">Situation \u00e9conomique<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2256\" data-end=\"2639\">Au cours de l&#8217;exercice 2024, <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">SBB Cargo<\/span><\/span> a enregistr\u00e9 une perte d&#8217;environ 76 millions de francs. La situation reste tendue au cours de l&#8217;exercice en cours. Les observateurs du secteur estiment que le d\u00e9ficit pourrait atteindre environ 100 millions de francs en 2025, si les probl\u00e8mes structurels dans le transport de marchandises ne sont pas rapidement att\u00e9nu\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2641\" data-end=\"2806\">Cependant, l&#8217;\u00c9tat en tant que propri\u00e9taire s&#8217;attend \u00e0 ce que le transport de marchandises soit exploit\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re \u00e9conomiquement viable \u00e0 long terme, car il ne fait pas partie des secteurs de service public classiques.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2808\" data-end=\"3039\">Les difficult\u00e9s financi\u00e8res sont principalement li\u00e9es \u00e0 trois facteurs : le d\u00e9ficit structurel dans le transport de wagons isol\u00e9s, la forte concurrence avec le transport routier et des volumes de transport conjoncturellement plus faibles.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3041\" data-end=\"3160\">Pour r\u00e9duire les co\u00fbts, des postes ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 supprim\u00e9s. SBB Cargo emploie environ 2 250 collaborateurs.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3194\" data-end=\"3426\">En r\u00e9ponse aux pertes persistantes, la SBB travaille \u00e0 une r\u00e9orientation compl\u00e8te du transport de marchandises. L&#8217;objectif est de rendre le syst\u00e8me plus efficace et d&#8217;adapter la production \u00e0 la demande r\u00e9elle.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3428\" data-end=\"3629\">L&#8217;accent est particuli\u00e8rement mis sur la modernisation du transport de wagons isol\u00e9s, le d\u00e9veloppement de trains complets efficaces et une int\u00e9gration plus forte du transport ferroviaire et routier dans le transport combin\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3631\" data-end=\"3770\">Une partie de cette strat\u00e9gie est le concept \u00ab Suisse Cargo Logistics \u00bb, qui vise \u00e0 stabiliser \u00e9conomiquement le transport de marchandises \u00e0 long terme.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3785\" data-end=\"4072\">SBB Cargo se trouve donc \u00e0 un tournant. D&#8217;une part, le transport de marchandises par rail reste un \u00e9l\u00e9ment central de la logistique suisse et joue un r\u00f4le important pour la protection du climat et le transfert modal. D&#8217;autre part, la pression concurrentielle croissante n\u00e9cessite des ajustements structurels.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4074\" data-end=\"4266\">La r\u00e9ussite de la transformation sera d\u00e9terminante pour savoir si le transport de marchandises par rail en Suisse pourra maintenir son r\u00f4le de pilier d&#8217;une politique de transport durable \u00e0 long terme.<\/p>\n<h3
