Cela permettra de cr\u00e9er les conditions n\u00e9cessaires en Suisse pour que les trains de marchandises avec des remorques de 4 m de hauteur puissent, \u00e0 l&#8217;avenir, circuler r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement sur la ligne de la rive gauche du Rhin vers la France et au-del\u00e0 vers les tunnels de base NEAT au Gothard et au L\u00f6tschberg. Les travaux principaux commenceront en 2026 et devraient \u00eatre achev\u00e9s d&#8217;ici fin 2029.<\/p>\n<h3>Transport de marchandises \u00e0 travers la grande ville<\/h3>\n<p>L&#8217;objectif du projet est de rendre le transport ferroviaire de marchandises plus comp\u00e9titif et de transf\u00e9rer des transports transalpins suppl\u00e9mentaires de la route vers le rail. Les remorques de 4 m\u00e8tres de hauteur s&#8217;imposent de plus en plus dans le transport de marchandises europ\u00e9en, car elles offrent aux exp\u00e9diteurs et aux entreprises de transport des avantages logistiques et \u00e9conomiques clairs. Cependant, pour pouvoir transporter ces unit\u00e9s par rail, un profil de d\u00e9gagement plus grand est n\u00e9cessaire, ce que de nombreuses lignes existantes ne peuvent pas offrir.<\/p>\n<p>Le c\u0153ur des mesures \u00e0 B\u00e2le consiste en des abaissements de voies dans les tunnels Kannenfeld et Sch\u00fctzenmatt ainsi que sous les passages sup\u00e9rieurs Allschwilerstrasse et Oberwilerstrasse. Dans les deux tunnels, les voies seront abaiss\u00e9es d&#8217;environ un demi-m\u00e8tre, et les lignes de contact seront adapt\u00e9es. Pour le tunnel de Kannenfeld, un \u00e9largissement de la vo\u00fbte du tunnel du c\u00f4t\u00e9 du Rhin est \u00e9galement pr\u00e9vu pour r\u00e9aliser un chemin d&#8217;\u00e9vacuation. Sous d&#8217;autres passages, comme \u00e0 la Wanderstrasse et \u00e0 la Marschalkenstrasse, des ajustements des lignes de contact suffisent. Les abaissements commenceront sur des sections en pleine voie, de sorte que les voies puissent \u00eatre int\u00e9gr\u00e9es en pente dans les ouvrages. En m\u00eame temps, de nombreux passages de conduites et de ruisseaux sous la plateforme ferroviaire devront \u00eatre adapt\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Parall\u00e8lement \u00e0 l&#8217;adaptation du profil, la SBB utilise le p\u00e9rim\u00e8tre du projet pour des mesures d&#8217;entretien \u00e9tendues. Entre le tunnel de Kannenfeld et les ponts de Birsig, la superstructure des deux voies sera enti\u00e8rement renouvel\u00e9e. De plus, les deux ponts de Birsig \u00e0 voie unique seront r\u00e9nov\u00e9s. Parmi les travaux pr\u00e9vus figurent le renouvellement de la protection contre la corrosion, une nouvelle \u00e9tanch\u00e9it\u00e9 des dalles de pont ainsi que le remplacement et le renforcement des appuis de pont. L&#8217;objectif est de garantir que les ouvrages restent s\u00fbrs et fiables pour une utilisation d&#8217;au moins 50 ans suppl\u00e9mentaires.<\/p>\n<h3>Travaux en cours d&#8217;exploitation<\/h3>\n<p>Pour minimiser les impacts sur le trafic des passagers et des marchandises, la construction se d\u00e9roulera en exploitation continue. Au lieu d&#8217;une fermeture totale de plusieurs ann\u00e9es, une seule des deux voies sera ferm\u00e9e pendant une p\u00e9riode prolong\u00e9e. De plus, la SBB mettra en place des changements de voie provisoires pour r\u00e9duire de moiti\u00e9 la longueur des sections \u00e0 voie unique et limiter les pertes de capacit\u00e9. N\u00e9anmoins, des restrictions dans le trafic ferroviaire ainsi que des fermetures totales pendant les week-ends sont pr\u00e9vues pendant la p\u00e9riode de construction.<\/p>\n<p>Les co\u00fbts de l&#8217;adaptation du profil et du renouvellement des voies s&#8217;\u00e9l\u00e8vent \u00e0 environ 114 millions de CHF et seront financ\u00e9s par le cr\u00e9dit d&#8217;engagement de la Conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration pour les projets de corridor de 4 m\u00e8tres. Pour la r\u00e9novation des ponts de Birsig, 7 millions de CHF suppl\u00e9mentaires sont pr\u00e9vus, qui seront r\u00e9gl\u00e9s par l&#8217;accord de performance entre la Conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration et la SBB.<\/p>\n<p>Pour que le transport de marchandises de 4 m\u00e8tres soit \u00e9galement possible en exploitation r\u00e9guli\u00e8re via la France, des adaptations de profil compl\u00e9mentaires sont n\u00e9cessaires du c\u00f4t\u00e9 fran\u00e7ais. Une d\u00e9claration d&#8217;intention correspondante a \u00e9t\u00e9 sign\u00e9e par le conseiller f\u00e9d\u00e9ral Albert R\u00f6sti et le ministre fran\u00e7ais des Transports en f\u00e9vrier 2025.
