Het rapport biedt een uitgebreid overzicht van de huidige staat van de sector, de belangrijkste spelers en de trends die de toekomst van de scheepsbouw in de binnenvaart zullen vormgeven.<\/p>\n<h3>Marktanalyse en capaciteiten<\/h3>\n<p>In Europa zijn er ongeveer 200 werven actief voor de binnenvaart, waarvan de meeste in Nederland en Duitsland zijn gevestigd. Jaarlijks komen er tussen de 100 en 150 nieuwe binnenvaartschepen op de markt, waarbij de capaciteitsbenutting van de werven in de afgelopen jaren vrijwel volledig was. De werven in West-Europa zijn vooral gespecialiseerd in de afwerking, terwijl de rompconstructie vaak wordt uitbesteed aan onderaannemers in landen zoals Roemeni\u00eb, Servi\u00eb en China. Deze internationale arbeidsverdeling is cruciaal voor de concurrentiekracht van de Europese werven.<\/p>\n<p>De vraag naar nieuwe schepen is in de afgelopen jaren toegenomen, vooral op het gebied van riviercruiseschepen, die zich na de gevolgen van de COVID-19-pandemie herstellen. Tegelijkertijd is er een trend naar grotere schepen, vooral op de tanker markt, wat de eisen aan de werven verhoogt.<\/p>\n<h3>Uitdagingen van de sector<\/h3>\n<p>Ondanks de positieve marktevolutie wordt de sector geconfronteerd met verschillende uitdagingen. Deze omvatten een tekort aan gekwalificeerd personeel, de afhankelijkheid van niet-Europese landen voor de rompconstructie en lange bouwtijden, die worden veroorzaakt door knelpunten bij onderaannemers en inspectie-instanties. De toenemende vraag naar schepen die geschikt zijn voor lage waterstanden kan bovendien nieuwe zakelijke mogelijkheden voor de werven cre\u00ebren.<\/p>\n<p>De CCNR beveelt aan om de Europese scheepsbouwindustrie te ondersteunen door middel van gerichte politieke maatregelen. Dit omvat financi\u00eble steun voor de sector, de bevordering van opleidingsprogramma&#8217;s ter bestrijding van het tekort aan vaktechnisch personeel en het waarborgen van de Europese expertise in de scheepsbouw.
