Stawarz<\/p>\n<p>(Zurique) Neste artigo, discute-se um problema que pode ocorrer em portos de contentores: a atribui\u00e7\u00e3o eficiente de espa\u00e7os de armazenamento para contentores que chegam. N\u00e3o \u00e9 apenas importante encontrar um espa\u00e7o livre, mas tamb\u00e9m considerar a carga dos contentores circundantes. Isto \u00e9 especialmente relevante para evitar acidentes, como a grave explos\u00e3o no porto de Tianjin em 2015.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>O problema em resumo<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Imaginemos que um grande navio porta-contentores, como o \u201cSovereign Maersk\u201d, chega a um porto, neste caso, Xangai, e precisa descarregar 7.500 contentores. O sistema portu\u00e1rio tem agora a tarefa de encontrar e reservar um espa\u00e7o de armazenamento adequado para cada um desses contentores.<\/p>\n<p>No maior porto de contentores do mundo, em Xangai, foram movimentados mais de 47 milh\u00f5es de contentores padr\u00e3o (TEU) em 2023. Isso significa que diariamente milhares de contentores precisam ser armazenados e descarregados novamente. Um sistema eficiente para a gest\u00e3o dos espa\u00e7os de armazenamento \u00e9, portanto, imprescind\u00edvel.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Desafios do m\u00e9todo cl\u00e1ssico<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Nos m\u00e9todos convencionais, cada espa\u00e7o de estacionamento poss\u00edvel \u00e9 verificado individualmente. Mesmo que cada verifica\u00e7\u00e3o dure apenas uma fra\u00e7\u00e3o de segundo, o tempo de c\u00e1lculo pode somar-se a v\u00e1rias horas quando se trata de milhares de espa\u00e7os e contentores. Na pr\u00e1tica, existem otimiza\u00e7\u00f5es, como agrupar contentores semelhantes ou excluir determinadas \u00e1reas da busca. No entanto, podem ocorrer gargalos \u2013 especialmente quando as regulamenta\u00e7\u00f5es legais para mercadorias perigosas, prote\u00e7\u00e3o contra inc\u00eandios ou dist\u00e2ncias de seguran\u00e7a s\u00e3o ainda mais rigorosas. Nesses casos, o tempo de c\u00e1lculo rapidamente se torna um fator cr\u00edtico.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>A abordagem qu\u00e2ntica como solu\u00e7\u00e3o<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Aqui, a inform\u00e1tica qu\u00e2ntica poderia oferecer uma solu\u00e7\u00e3o. Em 1996, o matem\u00e1tico indiano Lov Grover desenvolveu um algoritmo qu\u00e2ntico que acelera significativamente a busca em bases de dados. Em vez de pesquisar todos os espa\u00e7os de estacionamento individualmente, um computador qu\u00e2ntico pode realizar a busca com este algoritmo em <strong>muito menos passos<\/strong>. No nosso exemplo com 40.000 espa\u00e7os de estacionamento poss\u00edveis, o algoritmo qu\u00e2ntico precisaria de apenas cerca de <strong>200 passos de c\u00e1lculo<\/strong> para isso. Isso poderia reduzir o tempo total de c\u00e1lculo de v\u00e1rias horas para poucos minutos ou at\u00e9 segundos \u2013 e sem comprometer a precis\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Desafios pr\u00e1ticos e perspetivas<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>No entanto, um desafio permanece: a avalia\u00e7\u00e3o dos espa\u00e7os de estacionamento baseia-se em v\u00e1rios crit\u00e9rios que podem ser resumidos num chamado \u201cvetor de adequa\u00e7\u00e3o\u201d. Um computador qu\u00e2ntico, no entanto, trabalha com qubits, que n\u00e3o podem lidar diretamente com tais estruturas de dados complexas. Portanto, o algoritmo teria de ser ajustado para processar os crit\u00e9rios de avalia\u00e7\u00e3o individualmente. Embora isso possa desacelerar um pouco o c\u00e1lculo, o m\u00e9todo ainda seria significativamente mais r\u00e1pido do que os sistemas convencionais.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>A Microsoft est\u00e1 pr\u00f3xima com o projeto \u00abMajoran 1\u00bb<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Em resumo, este artigo mostra como os computadores qu\u00e2nticos poderiam revolucionar a log\u00edstica em portos de contentores \u2013 desde que os conceitos te\u00f3ricos possam ser implementados na pr\u00e1tica.
