Nov 6, 2020 at 7:32 AMTX Logistik AG (TXL) has received the renewed safety certification from the Federal Office of Transport in Switzerland. Previously, the renewal of the safety certification in Austria and Italy had already taken place. All certifications are valid for the next five years until 2025.
(Troisdorf) – This confirms that the company adheres to all applicable requirements for safe railway operations in Europe as part of a comprehensive safety management system.
“Safety is our top priority,” emphasizes Gian Paolo Gotelli, CEO of TX Logistik. “We see this renewal as a confirmation of the expertise and high professionalism of our employees,” highlights Albert Bastius, COO of the company.
Safety Certifications as an Important Prerequisite for Future Traffic
The three safety certifications also underscore the importance of both the Italian market and the two corridors for the railway logistics company. The renewal of the Swiss safety certification is an important prerequisite for future traffic on this corridor. TXL sees potential for growth there, not least due to infrastructure improvements. These include the new terminals being built by Mercitalia in Northern Italy.
“Our European network with services on the North-South routes between Scandinavia and Italy and on the West-East corridor to Hungary and Romania has become even stronger and safer,” emphasizes Gian Paolo Gotelli, “and we are looking for further development opportunities, supported by our significant investment plan.”
