It will now provide environmentally friendly deliveries to the Denner supermarkets in the city and the greater Zurich area, protecting the quality of life of Zurich residents thanks to CO2-free and quiet operation.
To further enhance this valuable approach, Rhyner Logistik has decided to install photovoltaic panels on the cargo area to supply the cooling system with green electricity. This concept is particularly suited for temperature-controlled transport, as the cargo area needs to be maximally cooled precisely when outside temperatures—and thus solar radiation—are high.
Fast Charging Station Acquired
Rhyner Logistik is convinced that electromobility is the most suitable solution to achieve a neutral CO2 balance, and has also acquired a fast charging station. For optimal range, the truck is charged in the warehouse during the loading process. Since it operates in urban areas where frequent braking is necessary, recuperation allows for an energy gain of 20 to 30 percent, resulting in additional kilometers.
