This all-day flagship event has established itself as a staple in the calendar of the logistics and supply chain community and can finally take place physically again after being postponed twice due to COVID-19.” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text](St. Gallen/Rorschach) The ISCM-HSG has been a guarantee for a unique exchange with high-profile experts from industry, research, and practice, with representatives from renowned companies as well as innovative start-ups in the SCM sector for many years.
This year, the SCID will take place under the motto: “Supply Chain Management in Challenging Times – Cost Reductions and Efficiency Gains through Supply Chain Innovations” and is aimed particularly at executives, decision-makers, interested parties, and start-ups from logistics and the supply chain community.
As one of the first formats on the market, the SCID is fully committed to a physical event again. Of course, a comprehensive hygiene concept is in place on-site, strictly adhering to the applicable regulations at the time of the event. The spacious facilities in the exclusive event location offer participants both: ample distance on one hand, combined with interactive and personal exchange on the other.
Focus Areas are Disruption, Efficiency Gains, and Resilience
The program is framed by two prominent keynotes. This year, Dr. Detlef Trefzger, CEO of Kühne + Nagel International, and Hakan Bicil, CEO of Imperial Logistics International, have been secured as speakers for the event.
The thematic focus areas of the SCID are the following three sessions:
- More Stability in the Supply Chain – Disruption Management or Redesign?
- New Digital Services – Efficiency Gains or Value Creation?
- Resilience – A New Performance Dimension for Supply Chains?
Selected experts will have the opportunity to share their experiences and expertise on stage during the one-hour sessions, before the discussion is interactively extended to the professional audience by our experienced moderators. Because the participants are at the center of the SCID.
In deliberately generous break formats, the well-being and a relaxed opportunity for exchange are well taken care of: With our integrated break concept, you have the chance to engage directly with the professionals and executives of the participating sponsors and start-ups at many company booths and expand your network.
Start-ups Play a Special Role
Start-ups, as the epitome of innovation-driving and creating companies, play a particularly special role at the event. Beyond the mentioned company booths, the participating young companies will present their innovative business models in a central session to the event plenary. Representatives of the corporates will have the opportunity to easily book individual “speed dates” with the start-ups through an online tool. The brief speed dates will take place in parallel to the SCID program at the exhibition booths of the start-ups.
We are pleased to present, as another highlight of our event, the current winners of the VDA Logistics Award 2021 with the BMW Group and Volkswagen Group Logistics in the two sessions “Arena of Solutions – Award Winners in Supply Chain Management,” as well as the current winners of the Eco Performance Award 2020 with Migros Cooperative Eastern Switzerland and Schöni Transport AG. Look forward to highly innovative and sustainable concepts and implementations from the award-winning companies.
Evening Event Management Board Summit
Following the program, the evening event, the Management Board Summit, marks the more relaxed part of the event. With an exclusive grill buffet and free drinks of your choice, you will first enjoy an engaging dinner talk with the MotionMiners from Dortmund (Germany). The start-up demonstrated unique ingenuity during the Corona crisis with the innovative expansion of its business model, particularly for micro-enterprises. After a brief greeting from the ISCM-HSG support association, the rest of the evening will be at your leisure. Continue to engage in lively discussions and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere right by the beautiful shores of Lake Constance. The event will conclude at 10 PM and will take place again on September 27, 2022, at the usual location.
The SCID has consciously stood for a relaxed and family-like atmosphere for years. Business attire can therefore be left at home. The dress code is casual/sporty.
