The economy, professional associations, and employers are lamenting the lack of qualified young talent. The ABB Technical School located in Baden and Sursee currently trains around 600 specialists and managers (including from logistics) and focuses on practical, part-time training – true to its motto “From practice, for practice”.
(Baden) The logistics industry is currently undergoing significant upheaval. Pandemic, geopolitical conflicts, climate change, inflation, supply bottlenecks, and stalled supply chains, along with looming energy shortages – society, industry, and the economy are globally confronted with complex and multifaceted problems that pose extraordinary challenges to distribution chains and the entire logistics market. Training with a Focus on International Logistics
The importance of digitalizing value chains is specifically addressed in the part-time continuing education at the ABB Technical School. The training with a focus on international logistics for the “Dipl. Process Technician HF” is the highest logistics qualification in Switzerland outside of higher education. Graduates of the three-year, part-time program are prepared to manage the planning, execution, and control of the entire flow of goods, information, and values in a dynamic environment – logistics managers who can develop and implement solutions at the cutting edge of technology even in extraordinary situations.
