With over 230 program points and 50 participating companies, the event on April 24, 2026 (5 PM – 12 AM) is more extensive than ever before. This year, the strong presence of logistics-related companies is particularly noteworthy: a total of ten locations – including nine traditional logistics companies and two recycling firms – underscore the importance of logistics as the backbone of the regional industry.

Between 5 PM and 12 AM, companies from the Basel harbor to Arlesheim, as well as for the first time in Birsfelden, will open their doors and provide insights into areas that are otherwise not accessible. The Industrienacht thus offers not only a cross-section of the regional key industries but also highlights the role of logistics along the entire value chain.

Logistics as a Connecting Element of the Industrienacht

Logistics runs like a common thread through the program. Whether port operations, rail logistics, road transport, or internal goods flows – numerous program points make the complexity and performance of the industry tangible. The Swiss Rhine ports are particularly in focus, where companies like Ultra-Brag, Rhenus Port Logistics, or the Hafenbahn present their processes and provide insights into multimodal transport chains.

Logistics is also concretely experienced outside the harbor: At Contargo, visitors can view one of the highest container cranes in Switzerland, while at Felix Transport in Arlesheim, practical insights into regional freight transport are offered. This makes it clear how closely intertwined road, rail, and waterways are in the Basel region.

The inclusion of recycling locations further broadens the logistical perspective. They demonstrate how material cycles are organized and the role that transport and handling play in the circular economy.
