Mar 31, 2026 at 4:03 PMStefano Arganese will be the new head of Swiss Post Cargo. He will assume the position on June 1, 2026, and officially take over leadership on July 1. He succeeds Stefan Luginbühl, who has been leading the business unit on an interim basis since October 2025.
Stefano Arganese brings nearly 30 years of experience from various positions within the DHL Group. After studying civil engineering with a focus on logistics and obtaining a Master in Business Administration, he took on responsibilities in sales, operations, and business controlling. For over 15 years, he served as CEO of an international region encompassing more than 20 countries, including Switzerland. In recent years, Arganese has focused on global business processes and digital transformation, most recently as Chief Transformation Officer at DHL Freight.
Experience and Perspectives
Johannes Cramer, head of logistics services at Swiss Post and a member of the executive board, commented positively on the new appointment: “With Stefano Arganese, Swiss Post Cargo gains an internationally experienced leader with proven industry and transformation expertise. He knows international freight logistics from long-standing experience and combines strategic development with operational experience. He brings the best prerequisites to further develop Swiss Post Cargo in the next phase.”
Stefano Arganese himself is optimistic and emphasizes: “I am very much looking forward to sharpening the strategic direction together with the team, purposefully enhancing our performance, and sustainably strengthening our collaboration with our customers.” Arganese is an Italian-Swiss dual citizen, lives in the canton of Zurich, and is married with two daughters.
Swiss Post thanks Stefan Luginbühl for his interim leadership of Swiss Post Cargo. In recent months, he has ensured continuity in leadership together with the management and guided the organization through the transition phase. Luginbühl will return to his previous role in the logistics services area of the Post on July 1, 2026.
