ASTAG welcomes Council of States decision on LSVA
Jun 3, 2026 at 4:24 PMThe AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG based in Zurich has launched a new intermodal transport service that connects the northeastern Spanish industrial regions, particularly Barcelona and Tarragona, with the western Polish city of Poznań. According to a statement from AsstrA, this service is aimed at companies whose loading and unloading points are within 300 km of the mentioned terminals. The estimated door-to-door transport time is 9 to 10 days.
Transport solutions for businesses
With this new service, AsstrA offers a combination of various modes of transport, including rail and road. According to company information, the intermodal service is supported by reliable capacity, which is particularly important during peak season when cargo space in road transport is limited. Another advantage of intermodal shipping is the avoidance of traffic disruptions. Rail and sea transport are not subject to traffic bans on weekends, holidays, or at night, which helps to circumvent congestion and delays.
Technology and real-time tracking
AsstrA claims to use equipment that ensures efficient and safe handling of cargo. This includes crane-lift certified trailers and special containers. An additional feature of the new service is real-time GPS tracking, which allows customers to monitor the location of their freight at any time. This is intended to provide not only security but also information about the transport status.
