May 11, 2026 at 10:53 AMAs Militzer & Münch, an internationally active logistics service provider headquartered in St. Gallen, announced in early May, Andreas Herzog has been the new managing director of the operational subsidiary of Militzer & Münch in Switzerland since March 1, 2026. The logistics expert brings extensive experience, which he has gained since 2017 within the company. This includes training as part of the internal talent and leadership development programs, underscoring his qualifications for the new position.
Experiences and responsibilities
Prior to his appointment as managing director, Herzog worked in business development and was responsible for transportation to Greece and the Northeast Europe region. This role has provided him with a deep understanding of the Swiss subsidiary, which he now leads from Muttenz. Herzog has completed both the Talent Management Program (TMP) of the TransInvest Group and the Leadership Development Program (LDP). He speaks positively about the content of these programs: “I learned to focus on what is essential and not to waste time on facts that I cannot change.”
Strategic direction for the future
At the Muttenz location near Basel, 15 employees coordinate traffic to various target regions such as Central Europe, Southeast Europe, the CIS, the Caucasus, and the Maghreb. The main customers of Militzer & Münch in Switzerland come from specialty chemicals, the industrial sector, and the consumer goods industry.
For the year 2026, Andreas Herzog has defined clear strategic priorities. “Our stated goal is to acquire new customers and expand existing customer relationships through cross-selling,” he explains. Herzog emphasizes that the company has extensive competencies and deep customs knowledge, particularly in markets that require such expertise. “We have a well-trained and dedicated team here and access to a strong international network. This enables us to implement even the most complex projects for our customers.”
