Jun 5, 2026 at 11:07 AMFederal President Guy Parmelin has appointed Christian Kalt as Deputy Delegate for Economic National Supply. This decision was announced on June 5, 2026. Kalt, who currently heads the Logistics Office at the Federal Office for Economic National Supply (BWL), will assume his new role on July 1, 2026.
Experience and Career
Christian Kalt brings extensive experience in supply chain management and process optimization. He is a trained industrial engineer and has worked in various leadership positions in both line and project organizations. Prior to his role at BWL, Kalt was employed in international industrial companies, consulting, and at the Swiss National Bank.
In October 2022, he joined BWL as Deputy Head of the Logistics Office. Since August 2024, he has taken over the leadership of the office and is also a member of the management team. Kalt succeeds Peter Lehmann, who will retire as Head of the Stockpiling Section at the end of June 2026.
The appointment of Christian Kalt comes at an important time for economic national supply, as challenges in logistics and supply security are becoming increasingly significant.
