The Milchlogistik Ostschweiz AG has modernized its fleet in collaboration with Thomann Nutzfahrzeuge. Since September 2025, a Renault Truck „T460 P6x2“ has been in operation, designed for daily milk collection operations. In December 2025, the company will also put into operation its first electric tractor unit, the Renault Truck „E-Tech T 4×2,“ as announced by the company earlier this month.
Technical details of the Fleet
The Renault Truck „T460 P6x2“ is equipped with a 6×2 chassis and features an 11-liter engine as well as a 12-speed „OptiDriver-XTREM transmission.“ With a wheelbase of 3,900 mm and a total towing capacity of 40 tons, the vehicle is specifically designed according to the manufacturer’s specifications for the demands of milk collection routes, which often require narrow access to farms.
A stainless steel tank, manufactured by Jansky & Partner AG, is optimized for the transport of milk. A liftable and steerable trailing axle increases the vehicle’s maneuverability. In addition, technologies such as Renault Trucks „OptiFleet“ and „FleetBoard“ are utilized to optimize fuel consumption and analyze the driving behavior of the drivers.
