Mar 31, 2026 at 1:38 PMDenner has made progress with its fleet of electric trucks: In one year, the company’s fifteen electric trucks covered over one million kilometers for the first time, as reported. This success supports the goal of supplying two-thirds of its branches without fossil fuels by 2030. The use of these vehicles is intended to contribute to the reduction of CO₂ emissions as well as noise and air pollution.
Regional deployments
Denner’s electric trucks are primarily used in regional freight transport in the cantons of Bern, Aargau, Solothurn, Vaud, Valais, and Fribourg. According to the company, they contribute to minimizing the ecological footprint of the business. Since 2021, Denner has also deployed two hydrogen trucks to further reduce dependence on fossil fuels. A central aspect of Denner’s strategy for decarbonizing road transport is the expansion of charging infrastructure. Currently, the company has sixteen charging stations. By the end of 2027, Denner plans to establish sixteen more charging points.
