Jun 24, 2026 at 6:31 AMFiege has opened a new charging park for electric trucks in Oftringen to expand the e-charging infrastructure as part of its activities. The charging park includes a total of ten charging stations, including four charging points with a power output of up to 100 kilowatts for regular overnight charging, as well as six „High-Power Chargers“ that provide a power output of up to 500 kilowatts, enabling faster charging, as the company reports. This facility is intended to allow Fiege to utilize the eight battery-powered trucks currently deployed in Switzerland for local and long-distance transport more flexibly.
Marcel Boccali, Managing Director and Head of Land Transport at Fiege Switzerland, emphasizes the importance of electrifying the fleet: „As an internationally active expert in transport and distribution solutions, we have long been addressing the question of future mobility. The ongoing electrification of our truck fleet plays a central role in this.“ The opening of the charging park in Oftringen is part of a strategy by Fiege aimed at making transport solutions more sustainable and increasing the availability of electric vehicles.
