With deep sorrow, tmw Logistics AG has announced the passing of its founder, Herbert Wunderli. The entrepreneur unexpectedly passed away on June 28, 2026. Wunderli founded the company in St. Margrethen, Eastern Switzerland, in 1981 and shaped it for decades with his entrepreneurial courage and passion for the logistics industry.

Wunderli was not only a successful entrepreneur but also a role model for many employees. His high level of commitment and responsible actions left a lasting impression on the corporate culture of tmw Logistics. Until his retirement in 2015, he was actively involved in the development of the company and significantly contributed to its growth and success.

The Wunderli family and the team at tmw Logistics AG emphasize that they have not only lost a founder but also a person whose values and commitment have sustainably shaped the company. Today, Herbert Wunderli’s legacy is carried on as a family business in the second generation, with the aim of passing it on to the third generation.
