Goods Traffic System Passar Launches with Imports in Switzerland
Jun 22, 2026 at 9:49 AMWith the initiative Swiss Logistics Intelligence (SLI), a new platform is being created in Switzerland for companies that want to actively shape the digital transformation of logistics. The organization sees itself as a network of logistics companies, experts, and technology partners who collaboratively develop practical solutions for the challenges of the industry.
The focus of the activities is on topics such as digitization, artificial intelligence (AI), data management, process optimization, and knowledge exchange. According to the initiative, digitization should not be understood as an end in itself. Rather, the goal is to make logistics companies more manageable and competitive through clearly structured processes, usable data, and qualified employees. AI is viewed as an important tool that only realizes its full potential in conjunction with people, data, and processes.
The association pursues four central areas of action: co-design, knowledge transfer, application, and networking. Companies have the opportunity to participate in the development of new standards and best practices, exchange experiences with other market participants, and test innovative technologies in concrete projects. At the same time, a network is to be created that connects logistics companies, research institutions, consultants, and technology providers more closely.
The initiators Roland Kalt and Ronald Sonntag: „This initiative is needed by Swiss logistics, as we focus solely on the practical implementation of the digitization of logistics. We are thus the only format that specifically addresses this concern with experts!“
The founding comes at a time when the digitization of supply chains and logistics processes is gaining importance worldwide. Digital platforms, automation, real-time data, and AI applications are increasingly seen as prerequisites for making supply chains more resilient, efficient, and sustainable. International initiatives and research platforms have been dealing with these topics for years and see them as a significant lever for the future viability of logistics.
With Swiss Logistics Intelligence, the Swiss logistics industry now has another organization dedicated to the practical implementation of these developments. The goal is to support companies in their digital transformation while promoting knowledge and experience exchange within the industry.
