May 7, 2026 at 8:40 AMAyvens, a provider of mobility solutions, has appointed Maartje van Tongeren as the new Managing Director for Switzerland. In this role, she will also oversee operations in Austria and be responsible for the strategic and operational development of the company in both countries.
With over 20 years of international leadership experience, van Tongeren brings extensive knowledge in the areas of mobility, leasing, procurement, and corporate strategy. Since May 2024, she has already been leading Ayvens‘ operations in Austria. Previously, she served as Director Service Delivery (COO) at LeasePlan Nederland, where she was responsible for the operation of a fleet of approximately 200,000 vehicles and implemented numerous digitization projects. Her career also includes senior positions at international companies such as ING, Staples, and Achmea, the largest insurer in the Netherlands. She succeeds Niklas Zetterlund, who is taking on a new management position within the company.
Strategic realignment through merger
Ayvens has emerged from the merger of ALD Automotive and LeasePlan, two leading companies in the field of mobility solutions. This merger has created a combination of global experience, an expanded product and service portfolio, and consolidated expertise that strengthens Ayvens‘ position in a rapidly digitizing market. A central element of the new strategy is the enhanced collaboration across national borders. In her new role, van Tongeren will intensify cooperation between Switzerland and Austria to leverage synergies and create sustainable value for customers, drivers, and partners.
Focus on future mobility needs
„I am very much looking forward to the new role with a highly motivated team. Mobility needs are changing rapidly – our task is to provide solutions that meet today’s and future mobility requirements. With my experience, I aim to strengthen the team in Switzerland and enhance collaboration with Austria for the benefit of our customers, drivers, and partners,“ explains Maartje van Tongeren.
