First Automated Mobility Summit in Switzerland
May 8, 2026 at 10:16 AMDue to differences between the board of the Geneva section of IG Air Cargo Switzerland and the executive committee (EXCOM) regarding the announcement and organization of the event „Le fret en Fête,“ the members of the presidency of IGAC GVA, consisting of Christelle Thierry, Raymond Cheminal, and Vice President Sébastien Mugnier, have announced their resignation from the executive board. Didier Ferard and David Cuennet, who are also members of the board, have followed suit.
IG Air Cargo Switzerland expressed regret over this step and emphasized that a mutually agreeable solution could not be found. A statement clarifies that the goal remains to strategically strengthen and expand local activities within the GVA section. Close coordination and transparent communication with the central EXCOM are seen as essential foundations for a common strategic direction.
The responsible parties are convinced that Geneva still offers great potential and that relevant issues must be addressed. This is particularly possible through the existing network and current involvement in the boards of Aerosuisse and Aviationsuisse, including at the political level.
The final solution for the chairmanship of the Geneva section is still pending. For the time being, Gerry Zurmühle will serve as the interim chair of the executive committee of the Geneva section. The responsible parties announce that they will keep the public informed about further developments in this matter.
