Optimization of ULD management
Through the partnership, Unilode will provide a comprehensive ULD management solution designed to help Vietjet streamline its growing operations. The airline will benefit from Unilode’s global ULD pooling network, which ensures that the required devices are available at the right time and place. This is intended to help reduce asset imbalances and optimize usage and cost efficiency.
Additionally, Unilode will offer round-the-clock ULD management as well as comprehensive maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services through a network of certified repair stations. By repairing ULDs near the site of damage, unnecessary repositioning will be reduced, and carbon emissions minimized. This supports a more sustainable operation for the airline and maximizes aircraft payload availability.
Digital solutions for enhanced visibility
As part of the agreement, Vietjet will also access Unilode’s digital solutions, including the customer portal, the mobile application eULD, and real-time tracking features. These tools provide improved visibility of ULD assets, actionable operational insights, and optimized workflows. This enables faster decision-making and enhances ground performance.
Mohammed Akhlaq, Chief Commercial Officer of Unilode Aviation Solutions, commented on the partnership:
“We are excited to work with Vietjet as they continue their impressive growth trajectory. By combining our global ULD network, advanced digital solutions, and extensive MRO capabilities, we will help provide higher operational efficiency, improved asset visibility, and more sustainable ULD management solutions, ensuring Vietjet is well-positioned for continued success.”
Vietjet is a full member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and holds the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certificate. The airline currently operates 135 aircraft and has ordered nearly 600 additional aircraft, including both wide-body and narrow-body planes.
