Nov 17, 2023 at 10:00 AMdriveMybox, the digital all-in-one platform for container trucking, and IBEXUS, a technology company specializing in the development of a CO2-emission-neutral blockchain solution for business processes, announced their partnership at GITEX Global, one of the largest tech fairs.
(Hamburg/Cham) driveMybox will use the solution in the future to establish a transparent, immutable, and secure method for storing and validating certified CO2 calculations and climate offset certificates. This allows for the measured carbon footprint and the financing of climate protection projects to offset CO2 emissions, both conducted by the independent company ClimatePartners and in compliance with ISO14083, to be seamlessly documented at any time.
Providing additional value to customers and service providers
The cooperation between driveMybox and IBEXUS marks a significant milestone in both companies’ efforts to promote efficiency and sustainability in the container truck transport sector. Dr. Leonard Heilig, CTO and Co-Founder of driveMybox, explains: “We see ourselves as pioneers in utilizing modern technologies to fully digitize and optimize processes for container truck transports. We want to offer our customers and service providers additional value-added services. The collaboration with IBEXUS enables us to digitally transform the process of measuring and documenting CO2 emissions and CO2 offsetting using modern blockchain technologies, ensuring complete transparency and tamper-proofing.”
The blockchain-based solution will help monitor, validate, and secure the entire lifecycle of CO2 calculations and climate offset certificates. IBEXUS’s multichain approach guarantees that data is stored securely, immutably, and sustainably without burdening the environment. Additionally, customers benefit from the choice between the two blockchain infrastructures, Near Protocol and Concordium, providing optimal security and investment protection. This will not only support the sustainability efforts of both companies but also offer their customers a reliable way to track and monitor their CO2 emissions and climate offset measures. An incorruptible data provenance is a prerequisite for efficiently controlling and improving supply chains regarding CO2 emissions in the future. This is an essential requirement for addressing climate policy challenges based on fair and sustainable global trade.
Solution helps raise industry standards
The partnership between the two companies underscores the commitment of driveMybox and IBEXUS to make the transport sector more sustainable and efficient while meeting the needs of their customers. The innovative solution will raise industry standards and contribute to an environmentally friendly future for container truck transports.
