Sep 2, 2020 at 7:00 AMSwiss Post has acquired the remaining shares of notime AG as of August 28, 2020. Customers of notime will receive a contract with the Post. notime AG will remain an independent subsidiary of the Post. Employees will retain all their jobs.
(Bern) Swiss Post has acquired all shares of notime AG as of August 28, 2020, where it was previously the majority shareholder. This strengthens the Post’s position in the growing same-day delivery market. Additionally, existing synergies in the logistics of the two previous partners will be utilized even better.
With the acquisition, notime AG is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Swiss Post. This further strengthens the Post’s position in the growing same-day market and relies on a future model that is already a reality in various cities in Switzerland: Ordered goods are delivered on the same day by bicycle or electric scooter thanks to optimized route planning. The Post has been the majority shareholder of notime AG since March 15, 2018. The parties have agreed to keep the details of the sale confidential. The acquisition took place on August 28, 2020.
Customers of notime AG will receive a contract with the Post
The Post is convinced that it can utilize the existing synergies with notime even better through the acquisition. In the next step, both parties will better align their same-day products and harmonize their processes. The existing IT system of notime also meets important needs of the Post. They will continue to develop the system together with notime. Previous business customers of notime AG will receive new contracts with the Post.
Collective Agreement Applies to notime Employees
notime offers food delivery and same-day delivery services in the new structure as a subsidiary of the Post. All drivers will remain employed by notime. In June, notime concluded a collective labor agreement with its social partners, which will come into effect on October 1 of this year.
